Previously I had covered Samsung Monte S5620 Now I would like to cover another cool phone from Samsung Mobile. Samsung Wave S8500 is a “just released” full touch-screen mobile phone by Samsung, released to the market in April 2010 and it has been available on some countries. This is obviously a smart phone with sophisticated technology because it equipped with the last hardware, software and features on it. The most interesting thing is Samsung S8500 Wave uses a 3.3-inches Super-AMOLED touch screen LCD display which means it has brighter-clearer screen with low energy consumptions. Other cool stuffs that come from Samsung Wave are 1 GHz processor with 2GB internal memory, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G HSDPA/HSUPA and Bluetooth 3.0. All of those components will provide fast multitasking phone operating experiences and fast data transfers.

How To Split a File and Combine part1.rar, part2.rar Files Using WinRar?

How to split a big file into smaller pieces and how to combine (re-join) the splitted files (part1.rar, part2.rar…) using WinRAR? Some of you might probably have already knew those trick and some don’t. For those who still don’t know the above tricks here is a quick tutorial for you. Just make sure you have WinRAR software installed in your PC.

Split a large file Using WinRAR
1. Select file(s) or folder(s) that you want to split
2. Right click on the selected item(s) and click “add to archive”


3. On “General” tab, configure “Split to volume, bytes”
For example I would like to split my video: 50MB movie.avi, into 5 pieces. Thus I expect that the final result will be 5 files, each file has 10MB. So in the “Split to volume, bytes” I can enter “10MB” (in this case I should include the MB parameter), or alternatively I can also type “10000000”.


4. Click “OK” and all done!

Combine or Join part1.rar, part2.rar … using WinRAR
Before we jump into the second tutorial, there’s something you have to know. You cannot join or combine files that have .001, .002,… extensions by using WinRAR, you should use HJsplit instead! WinRAR is only able to combine splitted files that have .part1.rar, .part2.rar … extensions. On the other side, HJSplit also cannot be used to combine files with .part1.rar, part2.rar,… And please note that all files must exists in one folder / directory, otherwise you can’t combine them.
Okay, this is super easy to do, just right click on .part1.rar and choose “Extract here” or “Extract files”

How to Crop or Cut an Image in Microsoft Word?

Do you know how to crop an image in Microsoft word? Lets assume that you have an image which contains 2 objects (in one picture) side by side, you want to insert it to your microsoft word document but actually you want to remove one of those objects so the final result will be only one object in one image. Yes, it is true that you can crop the image with a photo editor software before you insert it, but how if you don’t have any photo/picture editor installed in your computer? In the situation like this you can crop or cut a picture in Microsoft Office Word document (directly). Okay so this trick is simple but very useful and effective, especially if you don’t have a picture editor installed in your PC.

Below is a tutorial on how to crop a picture in Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010, just follow to these few necessary steps:

1. Insert your picture. Choose Insert tab – Picture from the ribbon menu. In the example below I use Samsung Monte picture, front and back view
The Format/Picture Tools tab will be activated (automatically)

2. From the Format tab, click Crop item menu.



3. Click (and hold) your mouse on any sides of your image – move/drag your mouse – and then release your mouse to see the result.



4. And this is the result



That is it! Now I have successfully cut or crop an image in Microsoft Word.
