Samsung i5500 Corby ReviewSamsung i5500 Corby smartphone aka Galaxy 5 is almost out! Yeah Samsung has officially announced it with its release date and price info. According to the news, the i5500 will be released to public at first time in Europe on mid of June 2010 (this month) with $ 238 / € 199 on price tag. Like Samsung Monte S5620, Samsung Corby i5500 is categorized as a mid-range mobilephone and as its tail’s name, it is a family member of Corby series, a successor for the previous devices that already released by Samsung.

From the physical presence, Samsung i5500 Corby has same look and feel like other Corby series, small size with rounded corners body. What makes it special is it uses Android 2.1 Éclair smartphone OS. Other interesting thing, it has better specifications plus equipped with 600Mhz processor so Samsung Galaxy 5 handset can run faster than other Corby phones.

About the technical specs, the small-size Samsung Corby i5500 smartphone is covered with a capacitive touch-screen 2.8 inch QVGA display. It also has 2 Mega Pixels camera, accelerometer sensor, 100 MB internal memory plus microSD slot expandable up to 16GB and includes 1GB in selling package. For connectivity, Samsung i5500 Corby or Galaxy 5 supports WiFi 802.11 b/g connection with DLNA, 3G HSDPA, A-GPS, microUSB port, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and 3.5 audio jack.
