Add Or Customize Meta Tags Blogger - 2

I already discuss about how to add meta tag blogger in the past SEO topic, but only for meta tag description, keywords and robot. In this post I will share more meta tags with short description about them. You can make an experiment with them. I hope this post is useful for you.

Description
<META name="description" content="your blog description">
The page description should be less than 100 words.

Keyword
<META name="keywords" content="keyword1, keyword2, keyword3">
List of keywords related to your blog. You can add comma as separator for those keywords.

Robots
<meta name="robots" content="index / noindex , follow / nofollow">
With this meta tag you can specify that certain pages should be or not be indexed by search engine robots, or that the links on the page should be or not be followed by robots.
"index" means pages will be indexed by search engine robot. "noindex" is the opposite.
"follow" means the links on the page will be followed by robots. "nofollow" is the opposite.
You can choose combination of index or noindex and follow or nofollow.

Author
<meta name="author" content="YourName"/>
The name of the person who authored the page.

Email
<link rev="made" href=”nospam@yourdomain.com”/>
The contact person's e-mail address. Don't put this in unless you want SPAM!

Copyright
<meta name="copyright" content="2009 by YourName"/>
The copyright year and the name.

Revisit
<meta name="revisit-after" content="1 days"/>
How often to tell the spiders to come back.

Refresh
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="120; url=http://yourdomaim.com"/>
This field must contain a URL that refers the page to another link in a specified number of seconds.

Expires
<meta http-equiv="expires" content="Wed, 1 Jan 2012 20:30:02 GMT"/>
The date when the content expires.

Distribution
<meta name="distribution" content="global"/>
Global – Used for major entry points
Local – Used for local entry points

Meta tag customization is very good if you want to have a personalized page. Another advantage is that you will be able to tell search engines to specifically track pages with important content. This is one of the more helpful tricks that you can use to get your site noticed.
